Festival format
Three days
of music video.
AMVA unfolds across three days of public screenings, music and exchange. The festival brings contemporary music videos into a shared space, where moving image, sound and live culture meet.
What happens
On screen,
on stage,
in conversation.
The three days are conceived as a single program. Each one combines the public presentation of selected work with moments for artists, audiences and the wider creative community to meet.
Screenings
& awards
Selected music videos are presented for a cinema audience throughout the festival. The competition is accompanied by the announcement of the AMVA awards and the final recognition of the works chosen by the jury.
Echo
Selections
Echo Selections gives a public space to works recognised for their artistic value outside the nominated program. The selection is screened during the festival and remains connected to the Audience Award.
Music
& performance
Live music, DJ sets and artistic performances run alongside the screenings, extending the festival beyond the cinema and into a shared evening experience.
Talks, workshops
& networking
Talks and workshops open up the practices behind music video, while dedicated networking moments create room for artists, directors, producers and audiences to connect.
Across three days
One shared
festival rhythm.
No day is a standalone event. The program moves between projection, listening, discussion and encounter, then continues into the night with after parties dedicated to the festival community.
Arrive
& discover.
The festival opens with its first screenings and public moments, introducing the selected works and the people around them.
Watch,
listen & meet.
Screenings remain at the centre, joined by conversations, workshops and shared time around the festival’s visual and musical languages.
Gather
& close.
The final day brings the festival program together through screenings, awards, music and the closing after party.
