Submission criteria
Eligibility
AMVA is open to music videos of any genre, nationality and budget completed between 1 January 2026 and 15 April 2027. Music videos must not exceed 8 minutes. Artists, directors, labels and production companies may submit a work, provided they hold the necessary authority and rights.
Lyric videos, promotional content without an authorial audiovisual dimension, non-musical works and works made wholly or partly with generative AI are not eligible.
Use and selection
Rights & process
The applicant grants Nèira Cultural Association a non-exclusive authorisation to screen the submitted work and use excerpts solely for the AMVA festival and its promotion. All ownership rights remain with the original rights holders.
A submission does not guarantee selection or nomination. Entry fees are non-refundable for works not selected. A confirmation will be sent by email once the submission process is complete. Selected works are evaluated by an international jury of music, audiovisual, arts and editorial professionals.
For the initial submission, a public or unlisted screening link may be provided as it stands. Selected works may later be asked for a screening version without an end-credit roll and for additional promotional material. This is a working summary of AMVA submission conditions.
